Milestone Expert Certification is aimed at helping our partners successfully manage large projects and projects that involve the more advanced functionality of XProtect® video management software (VMS). Graduates of Milestone Expert Certification automatically renew their Milestone Advanced Certification for an additional two years.

Course description
- This course uses instructor-moderated discussions as well as hands-on exercises to help participants become experts on XProtect VMS
- Duration is two full working days from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- At the end of course, participants need to pass a certification test by scoring at least 75 percent correct
Target audience
Experienced engineers, technicians, designers, post-sales support provider or consultants
Prerequisites
- Participants must have a valid Milestone Advanced Certification and must have had this certification for at least 12 months
- Participants must be directly and technically involved in designing, implementing or servicing XProtect surveillance installations, for example as a designer, engineer, technician, post-sales support provider or consultant
- Participants must have first-hand technical experience from a minimum of five Milestone projects, of which at least one must be an XProtect® Corporate project
- Participants must have hands-on experience designing, installing and configuring the most recent version of XProtect Corporate
- Participants must be proficient in the language in which the course is offered
Technical equipment
Participants must bring a laptop capable of running the latest version of XProtect® Smart Client and XProtect Corporate Management Client and must have full administrator rights to install these programs. For minimum hardware requirements please see the XProtect Corporate specification sheet found in the Related Resources on the right hand side of this page or in the Resource Library.
Participants must also have the user rights to modify the network interface settings to match those of the lab network.
All other necessary hardware and software required for the training will be provided by Milestone
Recertification
Milestone Expert Certification is valid for two years. After two years, partners can recertify by attending an instructor-led Milestone Expert Certification
